Dad. Designer. Writer. Speaker. Mentor. Gym-goer. Wannabe rockstar.
I'm no good at talking about myself. But here goes...
The work bit
My professional mission is simple: to make digital tools and tech as effortless as possible for charities and changemakers.
It's why I do what I do, and it's also why I self-published a book titled The Digital Charity.
The personal development bit
Almost every day you'll find me reading books about business, personal growth and spirituality, listening to podcasts, meditating and exercising in the gym.
Yep, I'm one of "those" guys 😅
But these things help me be better at my job, quieter in my mind and an all-round nicer human.
The family bit
I grew up in Grimsby, but now live in North Leeds with my partner Liz and our two beautiful girls, Sylvie and Thea.
You'll often find us at Roundhay Park eating ice cream, at one of Leeds' many amazing libraries or burning energy in a soft play centre.
The giving-back bit
I'm hugely passionate about helping people. That's why I'm an accredited, trauma-informed coach.
I've mentored over 100 creative professionals one on one, in workshops and through public speaking to help them connect with their vision, master their soft skills and do business more empathetically.
The ancient past bit
I cut my teeth as a web designer by building a fan site for my favourite band, Blink 182, back in 2001. It became the biggest fan site on the internet, getting featured on the band's official page, and MTV.com
I listened to a lot of pop-punk in those days. I learned guitar and started a band. I also decided to bleach my hair, which I honestly thought looked pretty cool at the time. The folly of youth, eh.
