Website causing headaches?
Charities come to me because their website is creaking at the edges and takes the patience of a saint to update. What's more, it no longer reflects who they are, and it fails to support the needs of the charity and its stakeholders.
Get a website for your charity that...
→ Provides a great supporter experience
→ Aligns with your brand identity
→ Reflects your organisation's values
→ Is simple and easy to maintain
→ Enables donors to give easily
→ Gives you a warm feeling of pride!

Women's Aid
Web development and training
During 2020 when many organisations could no longer work in their communities due to lockdown, Women’s Aid ran a campaign to support 12 of their smallest members.
These organisations had no digital presence and were unable to accept donations online. Working directly with Women’s Aid and their members, I developed a method to roll out basic websites with donation mechanisms so their members could communicate with service users and process online payments easily. This helped raise several thousands pounds in donations at a vital time, as well as equip these charities with important digital skills.

Worcester Snoezelen
Website design and re-brand
Snoezelen is a sensory centre for people with disabilities. The charity's website didn't do justice to the quality of the service or the passion of the team, so we engaged in a brand redesign along with the website development. Rachel, the charity's community engagement officer said:
"I can’t praise Matt enough for the work he did developing our new website. He created a top notch website which truly reflects the ethos and values of our charity. He is creative, a great communicator, and his project management skills are outstanding – everything was done to budget and on time, and nothing was too much trouble. Very happy indeed with the new website which has only recently gone live and already the donations are coming in".

UK Fundraising
WordPress web development and content migration project
The UK Fundraising website was originally launched in 1994, making it the longest-running and most successful online resource for charity fundraisers. I was honoured to be asked by the founder, Howard Lake, to redevelop the website from scratch.
This was a large project spanning several months. We clarified the core objectives of the website and set about rebuilding it. Our chosen platform was WordPress, and a large part of the work was migrating content (some dating back over 25 years!) to the new database. Around 35,000 pieces of content were brought across to the new website, and we designed the platform specifically to be visually clean, easy to use and fast-loading in order to bring its content to people as quickly as possible regardless of the device they're using.

★★★★★
Matt has done a fantastic job of developing a new website for our charity consultancy business. He has worked hard to understand us and to present the content in a way that meets our user needs. I would happily work with Matt again and very much recommend him to others.

What's included?
My team and I take our charity web design process seriously. No corner-cutting or slap-dashing here. Our primary goal is to help grow your charity's reputation and impact online.
Strategy
Every successful project starts with strategic underpinning. No digital project should begin in isolation, so we will work with you to clearly determine website scope, and how it fits your wider digital strategy.
Content
The quality of content is what makes or breaks a website. That's why we'll integrate a full website content writing process to ensure that your charity's site speaks to all important stakeholder groups.
Training
Website management should be simple and straightforward. Prior to launch, we will provide website training to ensure that you and your team are 100% confident in making updates to the website.
Support
Launching is just the first step. We partner with you to provide technical support, website hosting, and a proactive partnership to help your charity reach more people and deepen its impact online.
